The Astec-PSL association presents, Thursday October 10 to Saturday October 13its 3rd Planete Vivante festival. Labeled “Science Festival”, the event promises a captivating immersion in “ocean of knowledge“that form the sciences of life, the universe and the environment.
“Our goal, recalls Jean-Louis Fellous, president of ASTEC-PSLis to provide scientific knowledge on a certain number of subjects related to a main theme. Objective information, not catastrophic, which the public must be able to have at their disposal. If we don’t understand, we don’t act. If we understand wrongly, we act wrongly. Hence our motto “Understand to act”.”
Two evenings not to be missed
The completely free programming of this new edition will be available in several forms of events likely to please young and old: conference-debates, improvisation theater, shows (tap dancing, slam-beatbox), slightly tighter meetings around a personality (breakfasts with Marie-Pierre Puech), games, fun and informative workshops, educational activities with the CNES Spatiobus, a photo exhibition on the theme of the ocean by the Saint-Club club Gély Image…
Alongside the festival, two excellent evenings of their kind are offered on Friday October 11 at 8:30 p.m. and Saturday October 12 at 9 p.m. on the stage in Grand Pic Saint-Loup. The first, theatrical, is free for under 18s. The World of Silence Mouth!!! is a stand-up show that combines humor and reflection through lively and funny scenes where two comedians address issues related to the oceans, giving voice to marine creatures. The second evening is an astro-musical conference on the theme of autumn, from the “Four Seasons of the Universe “. A new, unusual and fascinating cycle of conferences imagined by the composer Arnaud Le Meur and told by the astrophysicist Arthur Choplin, where scientific discourse, projection of still images of the sky and musical sequences mix.
