New 3T Strada Italia, made in Italy

STRADA ITALIA IN 3T’S DISRUPTION PHILOSOPHY

Since its beginnings, 3T has been a pioneer in the field of road cycling. Pushing the boundaries of accepted tradition to see his ideas adopted as standards on the roads for amateurs and professionals alike. The Strada Italia represents the next generation of high-performance aero bikes. Comfortable for the everyday rider but with the speed and aerodynamics demanded for professional use.

A TAILOR-MADE CARBON LAYOUT FOR THE RESPONSIVENESS, HANDLING AND COMFORT OF THE STRADA ITALIA

The Strada Italia is manufactured in the same Bergamo factory as the Racemax Italia and Extrema Italia. It shares the same filament winding and resin transfer molding (RTM) technology, which has allowed 3T to bring much of its production back to Italy. This has led to the Bergamo-based brand’s engineers having full control over the carbon layout process. The result is a frame that significantly improves the on-bike experience:

Reactivity – The more you push, the more he responds. In-house engineering technology has allowed 3T to build a frame that delivers energy return every time you pick up the pace. With its short chainstays, the Strada Italia offers the feel of a pure racing bike.

Maneuverability – The balance between torsional rigidity and compliance at the head tube allowed 3T technicians to maximize the Strada’s precision when diving into corners, giving the rider the confidence to make the most of their own abilities and those of cycling, especially on fast and demanding descents.

Comfort – The layout in the lower part of the seat tube has been refined, notably in the curved aerodynamic cutout: this section gives the Strada Italia significant vertical flexibility without compromising energy transfer.

IMPROVED GEOMETRY FOR INCREASED PERFORMANCE AND WIDE TIRES FOR THE STRADA ITALIA

Comfort, combined with aerodynamic optimization, is the combination of features that makes the Strada Italia an exceptional bike. While 3T’s carbon technology plays a major role, the completely new frame geometry also ensures that more riders can achieve their optimal aerodynamic position and maximize their performance. In addition to stance changes, the ability to use a 30-35mm width tire plays an important role in creating such a comfortable platform. Besides comfort on rough roads, wider tires are also safer, providing greater confidence while reducing rolling resistance and improving efficiency.

MAXIMIZED AERODYNAMICS WITH THE STRADA ITALIA

At 3T, comfort and aerodynamics go hand in hand. An aero bike is useless if the rider cannot adopt an aero position. Without the right fit, this becomes an impossible task. Cockpit choice and flexibility play an important role. 3T used its technology Integralcarbon handlebars Aeroflux and a gallows MORE in carbon to allow the cyclist to find the best position for their rides while hiding all the cables.

Once the rider has adjusted their position, the frame becomes the next most important factor for aerodynamic resistance. Taking into account the new UCI regulations on frame shapes, 3T has pushed the limits to maximize its aerodynamic performance. This is visually evident at the head tube, where the deep but narrow profile maximizes aerodynamic efficiency at the front of the bike. A downtube designed to protect bottles, combined with deeper and thinner profiles, completes the package perfectly.

A window into his soul – As is tradition for the Italia family, all Strada Italia frames include a small transparent section. This window allows you to appreciate the beauty of the woven carbon fiber. It is located in the 3 and T on the down tube. The version Project X is also available for fans of a “naked” finish. Finally, for those who prefer to personalize their frame, the “Ready to Paint” will also be available. Finally, note that the Strada Italia is specifically designed and exclusively intended for electronic groups and adopts the UDH system (Universal Derailleur Hanger).
