Iconic figure of Turkish television, Mert Altınışık, recently expressed his affection for Morocco, a country where he knew how to transcend differences to become a face appreciated by Moroccan families. For seven years, in the role of Kamal in the Turkish series “Beni Affet” (Smahini), this young person sharing his story of passionate love was an integral part of the daily life of Moroccan homes. During a recent interview, he recalled the memory of his first visit to Morocco, which took place in Marrakech for the filming of a commercial for a film, where he made many friends.

The Turkish actor expressed his love for Morocco and his constant desire to visit this country, stressing that the key lies in the relationship between him and Moroccans, in the mutual love that emanates from the heart as well as in understanding, according to his words.

The Turkish actor who shone in the role of “ Kamal » declared to « Al Arabiya » during his participation in the Tetouan Festival of Mediterranean Cinema, that: “ The love of Moroccans for the character of Kamal gave me great joy, and I am honored by your love through this character. I also feel the same feeling towards you, a people endowed with great humanity “.

In this sense, he added: “ I am very happy that the character we portrayed was a success, especially in the voice transmission and translation, which were up to standard and professional “.

The famous Turkish actor recalled the memory of his first visit to Morocco, to Marrakech, where he shot an advertisement for a film, making many friends. He described the experience by saying: “LWhen I first came to Morocco, I thought I would feel like a foreigner, but on the contrary, they never made me feel that way. Because the Moroccan people welcomed me in a very elegant and magnificent way, they are a people who honor the guest and are very close to the heart “.

He revealed that his relationship with Moroccans grew subsequently, as he visited the cities of Agadir and Rabat and returns there whenever the opportunity arises. As for his perception of Moroccan cuisine, the actor described Moroccan culinary art as exquisite. Time and again, Moroccan dishes have never disappointed Kamal, and during each visit, he goes to the authentic restaurants to relive the experience, thereby expressing his love for Moroccan cuisine and its diversity, especially desserts. He also noticed similarities between Moroccan cuisine and Ottoman cuisine, noting that he did not remember the full names of the dishes but that they remained his favorites each time he visited.
