In addition to being discreet, the Chinese manufacturer’s surveillance camera is affordable. And it is even more so now on the official Xiaomi website: from 60 euros, it goes to 40 euros.
By offering a Pro version of its Mi 360° Home Security Camera 2K, Xiaomi is continuing its philosophy of offering a complete product at a reasonable price, but with a little something extra for those who want it. We thus find ourselves with an accessible security camera, with interesting additional features compared to the basic model which rather convinced us during our test. And, if your budget is tight, know that this model costs 20 euros less at the moment.

A discreet and easy to install camera
With the Mi 360° Home Security Camera 2K Pro, Xiaomi has made a point of offering a discreet surveillance camera – the basis for this type of device. With its white plastic coating and rounded shape, the camera hides perfectly in a living space. Thanks to its motorized base, it can be placed directly on a piece of furniture or installed on a wall or ceiling, using the fixings and screws provided.
Unlike the base model, the Pro version is compatible with Wi-Fi 5, providing better connectivity. Enough to offer more qualitative live remote video monitoring of your home from the Mi Home application, necessary for its installation. It is also possible to record what the device captures on a microSD card previously installed in the camera or via the cloud, but in this case you will have to pay a subscription.
A very good value for money
From a purely practical point of view, the surveillance camera offers a definition that shows up to 2K, or 2,304 x 1,296 pixels. Compared to the first generation of the camera, the images gain detail, even when zoomed, so the results are good. With its 360° field of view, the Mi 360° Home Security Camera 2K Pro can cover as many perimeters as possible. Added to this is improved night vision, with a sharper image and more detail. Another more than notable improvement is the integration of AI. The camera can thus detect movements and distinguish false alerts.
Finally, the surveillance camera’s bidirectional microphone picks up ambient sounds without too much distortion. It is also equipped with a speaker which, although not very powerful, reproduces the sound correctly and sufficiently indoors.
