A 23-year-old Scottish woman spent $1,000 to ensure she had her dog with her during her month-long trip to Italy.
Catherine Sophie did not want to leave her dog Teddy. She therefore decided to travel with her animal, regardless of the cost, according to the “South West News Service”.
“It was definitely worth it,” said the main interested party, who works as an actress.
She frequently travels from her home in Glasgow with her partner and she knew Teddy would comfort her. The animal traveled with her on April 2 from Edinburgh before landing in Rome.
She also shared her experience on TikTok.
“It’s something I always wanted to do with him,” said Catherine Sophie, who slept in Airbnb-type accommodations that allowed pets during her trip.
“When you have a dog with you, it gets you out every day and explores places you wouldn’t normally go,” she added.
His return home was more complicated. There was no direct flight that allowed her dog with her in the cabin. Catherine Sophie therefore chose to take two planes, a bus, a boat and a car to return home. To ensure she had her partner with her for a month, the young woman had to pay $1,000.
