Sonos should finally present its first headphones in the coming weeks, if not the next few days. The product, called “Ace”, in fact appeared in the catalog of an authorized spare parts seller, with images and a price.
There have been rumors of the upcoming launch of Sonos headphones for a while now (since at least 2020!). But this time, it should be good! Schuurman, an authorized reseller of Sonos parts, accidentally leaked information about the product called “Ace”. A name that seems authentic, knowing that the sonosace.com URL links to the Sonos home page.

According to the few images posted online – and obviously since removed – the headset would have a certain number of buttons on both earphones. It’s hard to say if any of them will have a touch zone, although it seems unlikely. The Sonos Ace would be supplied with a carrying bag, two cables (USB-C and jack) and a strange little box with an unknown function. According to Schuurman’s listing, the helmet would cost €403.58.
Since this leak, additional details have emerged at The Verge. The headset would thus be able to broadcast “lossless” audio via Bluetooth via AptX Lossless support. A dynamic head tracking function would also be included, as would support for Dolby Atmos to make the most of a film or TV series. However, you will have to use a Sonos sound bar connected to the television. We can also count on active noise reduction.
The pads would be attached by magnets to the headphones, and easily replaceable as is the case with AirPods Max. The autonomy of the Sonos Ace would be around 30 hours, like the Sony 1000XM5.
Sonos wants to get out of the soundbar and speaker market by expanding its products into new categories. Hence the Ace headset, but we are also expecting an Apple TV-type streaming box. Spring is likely to be fruitful for the manufacturer, which launched its new application yesterday, Tuesday May 7.
