AI is coming to WhatsApp: how it works

Microsoft’s virtual assistant is arriving within WhatsApp itself, and more precisely in your discussions list. Copilot is able to answer your questions, generate images or translate texts.

Copilot, Microsoft’s artificial intelligence, is now present within WhatsApp itself. How to access it? Nothing could be simpler, just go to this site and scan the QR code displayed on the screen. Copilot will thus be directly integrated into your WhatsApp account

Microsoft’s conversational robot then takes pride of place among your various discussions. You can click at any time on the “Microsoft Copilot” chat window in order to interact with the AI. But what does this actually consist of?

Like ChatGPT, Copilot is able to answer (rather factual) questions. You can ask him for the recipe for a dish or advice on practicing a sport.

This AI is capable of correcting or summarizing a text. Of course, Copilot can also generate text. Ask it to generate a poem about the arrival of autumn and it will do so. Copilot is also capable of generating images. Let your imagination run wild and it will work, with more or less convincing results. Then you can share your creations with your WhatsApp contacts.

Finally, note that Microsoft’s virtual assistant presents itself as a translator, which is particularly practical if you are having a conversation in a foreign language on WhatsApp.
