As we previously reported, OnePlus is gearing up to release its second-generation tablet, the OnePlus Pad 2, later this year. There is a good chance that this tablet is a rebadge of OPPO’s Pad 3, details of which have been leaked.
According to a Weibo post from popular leaker Digital Chat Station, the OPPO Pad 3 is expected to feature a 3K 144Hz LCD display. OPPO has equipped all of its tablets so far with LCD displays, the lack of OLED is therefore predictable. The tablet is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which corroborates previous OnePlus Pad 2 leaks and is also a significant improvement over the Dimensity 9000 display of last year’s OPPO Pad 2 .
Finally, the OPPO Pad 3 is expected to feature 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 9,500mAh battery. Overall, it looks like the OPPO Pad 3 will be a nominal upgrade over the OPPO Pad 2, with the only notable improvement being the move to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. We expect the same goes for the OnePlus Pad 2 – compared to the first generation OnePlus Pad (buy on Amazon).
