Xiaomi made the Redmi Note 14 series official a few days ago. This new range consists of three phones, the most high-end of which, the Pro+, has secured a place in the latest ranking of mid-range smartphones established by AnTuTu. This ranking is interesting because a phone must pass at least 1,000 valid benchmark tests over the course of a month to enter this top 10.
Smartphones equipped with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, available since March, are not yet included in this list. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ has only been available since September 26, and the fact that the phone has passed the 1,000 valid runs mark suggests that it has likely become very popular in China.
Of course, the smartphone didn’t really get a top spot in the list. Specifically, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ takes 10th place in AnTuTu’s latest Top 10 Mid-Range Devices list. This lower position is mainly due to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 as the SoC is not as capable as the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3.
For reference, the OnePlus Ace 3V, which is the Chinese variant of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3-powered OnePlus Nord 4, got the top spot on AnTuTu’s list (512GB OnePlus 12 currently at $599.99 on Amazon). In fact, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 has a better position, reaching 5th place in AnTuTu’s latest mid-range rankings.
This shows that the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ could have offered much better value for money if Xiaomi had opted for the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. As for the other phones on the list, you can see them in the attached image below .
