The Ring Alarm (2nd generation) is a complete, affordable and easy to install solution. If the configuration of the five modules may deter less tech-savvy users, the application guides them step by step and the process is done in a jiffy. This is also due to the integration of Z-Wave which ensures the system reliability and responsiveness. Sending a simple push notification in the event of an intrusion can nevertheless seem a bit trivial, and the subscription to Ring Protect, which is used to trigger a call automatically, is relatively expensive.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude the prices of stores whose the VAT policy is not clear (so-called “gray” stores, typically in the case of imports from China).

An alternative

With this Home Alarm Kit (5 pieces), Eufy gets to the essentials, but it does it very well, notably thanks to an exemplary app and simple products. Easy to install and configure, the solution is primarily aimed at those who have modest-sized housing and do not need many elements. But for those, it’s difficult to make things more convenient and accessible. For others, it is always possible to add an external camera and/or siren if the maximum volume of the base is not enough.
