The creations of Boston Dynamics are real celebrities in robotics, the most emblematic of which is probably Spot, the robot dog. A product that goes well beyond the simple concept since it is now used in very concrete ways in different industries, particularly in the field of security, since it can act as a watchdog.

After recently revamping its androids, the company set about putting its mechanical doggie back in the spotlight. Because beyond surveillance and exploration, Spot is nicely making its place in the world of entertainment. For two years, the dog has had an application called Choreograph, a tool designed to program complex movements in a very simple way. This tool was even presented in a promotional video where we saw Spot doing its best “moves» alongside the South Korean group BTS.

To celebrate International Dance Day on April 29, Boston Dynamics introduced Sparkles, the dog costume equivalent of Spot. This one sways alongside its hairless version with a choreography whose movements are terrifyingly natural. Everything suggests that by disguising himself as man’s best friend, Spot aims to become a real domestic robot.

This new adaptation in series form will be led by the screenwriters of Impossible mission And Venom.
