A total of 110 rooms which will, it is hoped, meet the growing needs of the university student population of Trois-Rivières, is in fact what the new Roomî student residence located on Brodeur Street, i.e. less than two kilometers from the university campus.

“UQTR is pleased to announce a new partnership with the promoters of the Roomî student residence. This agreement is the result of ongoing efforts to address the housing shortage in Trois-Rivières, which significantly affects our student population. We are determined to find creative solutions to this challenge and are always open to collaboration with partners who share our vision,” says UQTR rector Christian Blanchette.

The rooms that formerly accommodated seniors have been renovated to accommodate the new clientele in a space that is both modern and comfortable.

“Our experienced management team is ready and will be on site for the arrival of the first residents in August 2024, just in time for the fall semester. We are committed to providing an exceptional student life experience, with an emphasis on comfort, security and conviviality,” emphasize Annie Lemieux and Lucie Laliberté of Roomî.

Remember that in September 2023, we learned that due to a number of vacant units, the labor shortage and galloping inflation, Maison Valeo Jean XXIII was forced to close its doors.

UQTR students who wish to reserve a room in the new student residence must complete an information sheet on the Roomî website.
