According to information revealed by AssembleDebug on PiunikaWeb, Google has been working on improvements that will allow Gemini to provide instant answers to user questions. This function is currently in the final testing phase and should be integrated into the stable application soon.
Gemini faster and smoother
Once enabled from Gemini’s settings menu, the “Real-Time Responses” feature will display the assistant’s responses as they are written. Currently, if you ask Gemini a question, it processes the query and provides you with the results in one go. On the web, however, Gemini has a nice little animation that shows it writing responses in real time. This same functionality will also be integrated into the application. Of course, this is just a nice visual extra that doesn’t really provide any practical benefits.
This development, however, marks an important step forward, especially for the web version of Gemini which surpasses the Android version in terms of responsiveness. Adding real-time responses will streamline interactions with the chatbot and make them more natural.
In addition to immediate responses, Gemini also has new personalization features. Another change discovered by AssembleDebug is an option for Gemini to access the location information of the user’s device. This feature could enrich interactions, allowing AI to offer more targeted responses and information based on the user’s geographic context.
Google is clearly committed to enriching Gemini to simplify and personalize interactions between users and its AI. It must be said that there is fire: when it was launched, Gemini did not really catch on against ChatGPT. And OpenAI does not rest on its laurels, constantly bringing new features.
Gemini has become central to Google’s strategy, succeeding Bard and Assistant under a new unified identity. This platform is not just a chatbot; it encompasses a set of services based on advanced language models. Officially launched on February 8, Gemini stands out for its ability to integrate text responses, generate images and work with voice commands.
Available for free, Gemini is also available in an advanced version as part of the Google One AI Premium subscription. This version not only offers access to a more powerful AI model, but also to expanded storage features and other benefits of Google One.
Currently, Gemini is integrated into Google Workspace where it replaces Duet AI and also installs on mobile devices via the specific Android app or integration with Google Assistant. With these developments, Google hopes to position Gemini as a key reference in the field of virtual assistants.
