The latest evolution of Xgimi’s 4K Ultra HD projectors is called Horizon Ultra. Announced as the first long-throw model compatible with Dolby Vision, it promises more accurate colors thanks to a dual light source combining diodes and laser, while retaining the strengths of previous devices.

The Xgimi Horizon Ultra is one of the best Android TV projectors that have passed through our lab. The automatic image adjustment system is still as efficient as ever; above all, the image is now perfectly calibrated in SDR, a first for the Chinese manufacturer. For the rest, this projector retains its strengths, the very practical all-in-one concept, a high-performance audio system and silent operation, but also its weaknesses such as a restricted Netflix app and limited contrast.

The Hisense C1 is a very good 4K trilaser projector that ticks many boxes. It is easy to install and handle, the focus and keystone are done efficiently and it is compatible with all current HDR formats, in addition to being very quiet. The downside is mainly the colorimetry, which is rather imprecise out of the box, whether in SDR or HDR. It will need to be calibrated to get the best out of it.
