Barack Obama begins a seduction operation to support Kamala Harris one month before the vote

Former President of the United States Barack Obama is preparing to increase his support for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. A strong ally in the tight duel with Donald Trump, a month before this crucial vote.

Winning against Donald Trump? Barack Obama says “yes, we can”. The former Democratic president will step up his support for Kamala Harris, his party’s candidate for the White House. A seduction operation by a political heavyweight which comes at the right time, a month before an election which risks being played out in a pocket handkerchief.

As Politico reports, Barack Obama is expected to travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, next Thursday to begin his lobbying campaign. A starting point which is not insignificant, this state being part of the swing-state, the territories leaning sometimes towards the Republicans, sometimes towards the Democrats. Voters to absolutely seduce, these states could swing the entire election.

Eric Schultz, the former president’s senior advisor, assures the Washington Post that the Democratic leader will do “everything he can to help elect Vice President Kamala Harris.”

“We are focusing on voter mobilization, particularly in states where important elections are taking place,” he explains. “These elections are likely to be very close and nothing should be taken for granted.”

“Kamala is ready for this position”

The entry into the battle of Barack Obama in favor of Joe Biden’s vice-president is not a surprise. During the Democratic convention, after the withdrawal of the current tenant of the White House, the Obama couple affirmed their frank support for Kamala Harris.

It could well play a crucial role in motivating some to vote – particularly among young and African-American electorates – while the election promises to be very undecided.

“Kamala is ready for this job. She is a person who has spent her life fighting on behalf of those who need a voice and a champion. Kamala was not born with privilege. She had to work to get what she has, and she really cares about what others are going through,” praised Barack Obama on August 20.

The influential politician also helped the candidate raise funds, already $76 million, by participating in events or collections organized everywhere by the party as part of the campaign. A return of the favor for the one who supported the first African-American president in 2008, knocking on doors and raising funds for the one she hopes to succeed.
