FCBB and Real Madrid increase BMW donation amount for “Dunks for Tomorrow”.

München. FC Bayern Munich Basketball and Real Madrid provided a real dunk spectacle at the start of the EuroLeague: the two BMW partners scored six goals for the “Dunks for Tomorrow” initiative in the Reds’ 97:89 home win on Thursday evening. The German and Spanish champions increased the BMW donation amount for DEIN MÜNCHEN to 12,000 euros – and that in only the FCBB’s third home game this season.

FC Bayern and Real Madrid had already met in Munich last January – always a special highlight for the BMW Group: In addition to the mobility partnership between BMW Munich and the FCBB, BMW Spain has been supporting Real Madrid as a partner since 2022 and equips all players, Players and coaching teams of the first basketball and football teams with fully electric vehicles.

As at the start of the year, BMW Munich provided something special at the start of the EuroLeague: On Thursday evening, not only the dunks from Munich counted for “Dunks for Tomorrow”, but also those from Madrid. The team led by German world champion Andreas Obst scored two dunks and the Spaniards scored four times. In January, both teams contributed seven dunks to the donation total for “Dunks for Tomorrow,” which amounted to 141,000 euros at the end of the season.

With their joint social initiative, BMW Munich and FC Bayern Munich Basketball have been supporting regional educational programs for children and young people from disadvantaged families since the mobility partnership began in July 2023. With “Dunks for Tomorrow,” BMW will donate 1,000 euros to DEIN MÜNCHEN at the end of the current season for every home game dunk by coach Gordon Herbert’s team.

The organization helps children and young people in Munich who are growing up in social and financial risk situations. DEIN MÜNCHEN provides free access to a range of programs in the areas of education, culture and sport.
