Traffic promises to be even trickier than usual in Lausanne this Friday, September 6. Indeed, the Vaud capital will host the finish of the women’s Tour de Romandie stage starting from La Grande Béroche (NE).

To put it simply, from mid-morning until the evening, the centre of Lausanne will see many of its streets closed or accessible in only one direction of traffic.

According to the city’s official website, the following will be affected: Rue de l’Ancienne-Douanne, Rue Caroline, Rue Centrale, Rue César-Roux, the Cité district, Avenue de Rumine, Avenue du Léman, Rue Curtat, Rue Marterey, Rue de la Mercerie, Avenue de Mon-Repos, Rue Pierre-Viret, Rue de Langallerie, Rue Saint-Martin, Avenue du Théâtre and Pont Bessières.

Note that this stage of the women’s Tour de Romandie will also disrupt Lavaux, since it will take the lake road, crossing in particular Cully, Villette, Lutry, Paudex and Pully.

At the end of the afternoon, traffic will be difficult, this time, in the heights of Lausanne because the Swiss men’s M21 team will play a match at 7:30 p.m. at the Stade de la Tuilière, against Albania.
