The Pichincha Prefecture activated a mobile veterinary clinic to tour the areas affected by the three fires that are active in Quito. The measure was taken this Thursday, September 5, 2024.

“In light of the forest fires that have affected different parishes in the province, We extend our solidarity to all agricultural producers affected,” the provincial government said.

To support this sector of the population, two measures were taken. The first has to do with the activation of a mobile veterinary clinic to explore areas where forest fires are common.

It will also provide free veterinary diagnostic care and treatment for productive animals such as cows, pigs, chickens, among others. These measures are being implemented starting this Thursday at 08:00.

Since Wednesday afternoon, three fires have been active in Quito. Emergency Operations Committee (COE) monitors the situation and defines actions.
