Semi-final on day 16: In the Allstars jungle, nerves were frayed before the final. Who could secure a place for the final round?
The semi-final of “I’m a Celebrity – Showdown of the Jungle Legends” (latest episode first via RTL+, the following day on linear television on RTL) once again had everything jungle excitement to offer. The last six campers, Georgina Fleur, 34, Gigi Birofio, 25, Mola Adebisi, 51, Kader Loth, 51, Sarah Knappik, 37, and Danni Büchner, 46, not only suffered from the never-ending camp routine, they also had to make final confessions and pass a test. In the end, not everyone made it to the final camp round.
Legends Jungle Camp: Georgina Fleur learned from her shitstorm
Georgina still had something burning on her mind on one of the last days in the jungle. In a conversation with Sarah, she looked back on the shitstorm she received after she appeared on social media with a chained lion at a party in Dubai. In the private zoo, where Georgina says the host takes in tortured animals from poor conditions, the animals are only in chains when guests are present. “I thought they had beautiful enclosures there,” the camper said, looking back on her impressions on site. “I didn’t know they were chained there. I’m not an animal abuser, I love animals. It was definitely not intentional.”
She doesn’t know “why I got this damn shitstorm.” The flood of death threats and hate comments scared her. “My friends were insulted. People just went too far.” She never claimed to be perfect. “People make mistakes. I’ve learned from it, and I’ll never go there again.”
Cabin fever in the jungle? “We are all at the end”
The campers agreed: The time in the jungle should soon be over. They even calculated incorrectly and assumed an earlier final. Another unforeseen night in the camp caused great frustration. “We are all at the end, it is really horrible,” Mola said. “There are too many of us for the final,” Kader noted. “Everyone is thinking about how I can destroy the others.” Sarah was also concerned about her position in the camp. “I don’t think she is honest with me, she would vote for me 100 percent,” she said of Danni. “She has no fighting spirit,” Danni said of Sarah. She herself, on the other hand, still believed in her victory at that point. “I want to make it this time,” she explained tearfully on the jungle phone. “I want to show that now comes the Danni who dared.” Sarah, who is “slowly going crazy” and talked to a sock that had been transformed into a snake, not only annoyed her fellow campers with her forced good mood.

While folding a pair of trousers, she raised the alarm: “I’m screwed. Something really bad stung me and it hurts like hell. I don’t know if I’m allergic.” Sarah suspected that she had been stung by a scorpion. Her fellow campers didn’t really want to believe it. After inspecting the trousers, a paramedic actually gave the all-clear: It was just a bee. “We’re in Africa, that hurts a bit more than a local bee from the garden.” She told Kader and Danni about a hornet that had supposedly stung her. “They’re ten times worse than our bees.” “There’s always something,” Danni said, annoyed with her colleague. “You have zero stars and now you have special requests for the night watch? Just because Maya the Bee stung you? We don’t care,” was Gigi’s harsh verdict, and Sarah immediately criticized his “disrespectful” behavior.

But boredom also spread throughout the camp, so Kader even allowed herself to make a nasty joke. “I feel so weak. I used up my reserves during yesterday’s game,” she explained at first. “I feel strangely nauseous and dizzy.” Then she collapsed in the middle of the camp and Sarah held her legs up to get her circulation going. Kader could no longer hold back her laughter: “I wanted to annoy them a bit.”

Gigi’s flirting excursion with Kader Loth also showed that the campers had soon dealt with all the topics. “She has a nice butt, a nice figure. I would seduce her if I could.” Kader: “Sexy feelings? Are you crazy? I could be your mother,” said the 51-year-old, arm in arm with Gigi. She also had a few disciplinary measures in store, especially “no more farting.”
The topic of men remained at the campfire. Mola and Gigi talked about partners wearing too sexy outfits when they are not with them. “For me, that was almost a violation of boundaries. Such stereotypical thinking is bullshit,” Sarah said, indignant about the macho views on classic gender roles and men as protectors of women. “If someone forbids me from doing something, it’s over. Nobody can forbid me from doing anything,” Georgina said, who also found Mola’s views to be “borderline.”
The two-way principle
And how could the campers secure a place in the final on the home stretch? There were two ways to get there, via “courage” and “tactics”. Sarah, Kader and Mola formed the “tactics” group and thus avoided a challenge. The “courage” group had to fight to get into the final, but was immediately rewarded for it: a golden ticket awaited the winner of the test. Mola’s decision to rely on “tactics” surprised some of his colleagues. “Mola is a bit of a scaredy-cat,” Gigi said. “I don’t think anyone here is stronger than me. But I don’t know the test,” he defended himself. “He’s not a jungle legend, he’s done a little too little for that,” Sarah said.
“Knowledge makes you ‘Ahhhhh'”, a challenge for body and mind, awaited the brave ones. The trio had to answer questions on a plank at a dizzying height. If they gave the wrong answer, the beam would tilt towards the ground. If they gave the right answer, they could send a competitor further down. In the end, Gigi mastered the balancing and knowledge act best. “I wanted to show that I’m different than I was back then and that was important to me,” said Danni, who had to be eliminated, as she said goodbye to her conciliatory jungle comeback.
According to the preview, there is even a decision waiting for the Allstars before the finale in the final episode. Because there are still two campers too many. “Who doesn’t deserve to be in the final?” is therefore the all-important question that the Allstars have to answer. In addition to a final elimination, there will also be a food test before the question is: Who gets to wear the legends crown?
