In a varied game, SC Bern deservedly won 6-3 against an unsettled Fribourg-Gottéron.

Bern started with the self-confidence of a team that scored nine times in the last two games and did not allow a single goal. However, the first good chances belonged to the visitors from Fribourg, and SCB goalie Adam Reideborn had to show all his skills against Julien Sprunger to prevent Bern from falling behind early on. A little later it hit the other side: After a failed clearance by Walser, the puck landed at Simon Moser, who confidently scored to give SCB the lead. A little later, Bern scored the supposed 2-0 with a great combination, but after a successful coaches challenge, the goal was denied due to goalkeeper interference. The Mutzen went into the first break with a (too) narrow 1-0 lead.

After Bern was unable to take advantage of an initial advantage, Marco Lehmann scored a short time later, who was able to benefit from a rebound from Austin Czarnik.

The Friborg team tried to respond quickly and Julien Sprunger managed to maneuver the puck over the line. But since Mottet had previously plucked the disc out of the air with his hand, the goal was canceled due to a hand pass. Just five minutes later, the goal actually worked: a Bernese player unfortunately deflected the puck into his own goal.

The game then flattened out a bit, but that suddenly changed after the 50th minute.

First Marco Lehmann scored the preliminary decision with his second goal, three minutes later Ejdsell made it 4:1, and just 27 seconds later the Swede even increased the score to 5:1.

After this fifth goal, Friborg goalie Reto Berra had enough and, after smashing the stick on the goal post, left the ice and was replaced by Rüegger.

The Mutzen then shifted down a gear and allowed the Dragons two more goals to make it 5:3. The last goal of a varied game was scored by Merelä, who hit the empty net.

With this victory, SCB made a leap in the table and is now in third place.

Tomorrow SCB will face EV Zug away from home, who are only one place ahead of the Saanestadt team.
