Servette FC returned to Stade de Genève on Saturday for the first time since their victory over Chelsea in the European play-off, almost exactly a month ago. An international break and two disappointments later (elimination in the Swiss Cup in Schaffhausen, two points lost in Zurich against Grasshopper), the Genevans had to find their way back to victory in the Derby du Lac against a Lausanne-Sport who , on the contrary, was doing a little less badly since his victory over Yverdon in another derby, this one in Vaud.

Mission accomplished: Servette beat Lausanne 1-0, thanks to a goal from Dereck Kutesa at the half-hour mark, receiving at the far post a deflection of Alexis Antunes’ header from a corner taken by Julian von Moos. At the end of the match, Enzo Crivelli went alone to beat goalkeeper Karlo Letica in his characteristic style but was flagged offside after VAR intervention.
