Okocha, the former glory of African Football, benefits from the confidence of the new President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, to revive local football, develop it and inspire Nigerian youth.
While it is true that Okocha is taking his first official steps into the political arena, he is not a novice in the world of sport where he has gained many experiences over the years.

He will therefore be able to rely on his qualities to best survey the corridors of politics and provide his country with new sports infrastructures or improve the existing ones, and encourage Nigerian youth to get involved in sport.
