“Losing against Bruges? It’s possible”: the Club will travel to a demoralized Manchester City – All football

Manchester City took another slap in the face this Wednesday in the Champions League. The Skyblue led by two goals and were overthrown by PSG.

Manchester City is under pressure: with only one match to play in this league phase, the Citizens are 25th in the Champions League standings, outside of even the places for the round of 16.

Non-qualification would be a real disaster for Pep Guardiola and his men, who took a blow to the head this Wednesday by losing (4-2) at Saint-Germain. Manchester City led 0-2, but was turned around by their opponent.

“At the moment when they seemed to be in difficulty, they suddenly seemed sharper, faster, stronger. We were unable to contain them,” lamented Pep Guardiola after the meeting. “When you are beaten, you can only look forward.”

Manchester City’s nightmare season continues, and they will now have to beat FC Brugge next week to hope to qualify for the play-offs. Guardiola, however, warned: “If it’s possible to lose against Brugge? Of course, it could happen,” he warned.

“But if we don’t beat Bruges, well, it’s because we don’t deserve to qualify for the next round,” concludes the Catalan coach, visibly disappointed by this new Mancunian disappointment.
