Liverpool FC – LOSC: Lucas Chevalier at Anfield, “a little dream with his club at heart”

Hero caught short last Friday, during LOSC's victory over OGC (2-1), Lucas Chevalier is preparing to live a waking dream by going, with red and white colors, to Anfield.

At the age of 23, Lucas Chevalier is having a sensational season. For six months, he has discovered the joys of the Champions League, the most demanding competition in European football, and the rigor it requires. This apprenticeship recently took him to the Blues, where he gained even more experience. However, when he talks about the upcoming opposition between LOSC and Liverpool, scheduled for Tuesday January 21 at 9 p.m., there are stars that shine in his eyes.

“I've never been there, but it reminds me of a lot of thingsbegan the goalkeeper at our microphone, following the victory pocketed by the Mastiffs over OGC Nice (2-1) in Ligue 1. It's a little dream to play there, especially with LOSC. I could say, personally, that I played at Anfield with LOSC. With another team, it’s not the same”he blurted out, already ready to marvel.

“With our values, we can try something”

The stars then give way to a flame, the one that animates the competitors. Aware of the gap that separates the two teams, Lille and Liverpool, he still hopes to be able to make life difficult for the Reds, the undisputed leader in the Premier League as well as on the European scene: « Déjà, it's the best team in Europeeven of the world currentlyhe observed. We go there with ambitions, but like every match in the Champions League,
we are not going to be favorites. We will try to play our game, have fun, and why not create a surprise”
he said.

Lucas Chevalier knows it, the Mastiffs will have nothing to lose this Tuesday, on the pitch of a stadium as legendary as Anfield:
“We have everything to try to make a little more history. We will try to maintain our invincibility (21 consecutive matches in all competitions, editor's note).
I think Liverpool will take us seriously
also, because we are a team in good shape, while remaining very humble. It's a team much superior to us, but I think that with our values, we can try something”
he concluded, impatient to be able to shine on British territory. The local kid who has grown up must perhaps have some memories of the last clash between LOSC and the Reds, it was in 2010.
