Garmin continues to regularly update its sports watches after release to roll out new features. In recent days, a new list has started to circulate, providing an overview of the new features planned by the manufacturer during the first quarter of 2025.

The first of these would concern muscle strengthening sessions integrated into running and cycling programs within Garmin Coach. The second aims to improve the calculation of execution scores for muscle strengthening movements.
The table posted online also details the watches which will be entitled to the new password lock when you remove your watch, in order to secure your personal data. A function which already made headlines at the end of last week and which should make the watch unusable without a pin code to protect it against theft.

The table also shows a new function “ Body Battery TrueUp “. This should be a mode that allows you to continue tracking your Body Battery energy meter throughout the day, even when changing Garmin watches as long as the different models are connected to the same account.

Finally, the list also indicates improvements to the keyboard for certain connected watches from the American brand.
Updates expected in March
For the moment, it does not appear that this table officially comes from Garmin. It is therefore possible that the watches affected by these new features will change, or that other functions will ultimately be deployed later.
