Transferred for 37 million euros from Villarreal to Chelsea in the summer of 2023, Nicolas Jackson should have brought in big money for Casa Sports, the club where he played before joining Europe. Problem is, the Senegalese Football Federation forgot to register its training team in the player’s electronic passport and FIFA therefore did not grant him the solidarity contribution. 185,000 euros (approximately 121,350,000 million CFA francs), this is the minimum sum to which Casa Sports could claim as part of the solidarity contribution following the transfer when it played in Ziguinchor.
Casa Sport has released an official statement for the transfer of its former player, revealing that the club is working with the Senegalese football federation in an effort to recover the funds.
“Casa Sport is following with interest, but above all discernment, lucidity and serenity, the evolution of the situation concerning the transfer of its ex-member Nicolas Jackson, from Villarreal to Chelsea, and is working with the administration of the Senegalese football federation , to overcome the related difficulties in order to enable the club to recover its funds as quickly as possible.
Today, more than ever, Casa Sports is convinced that this issue will find a solution and therefore urges its supporters and sympathizers to strengthen the mobilization around their flagship team to enable it to recover the slope in the championship and to be resolutely part of the reconquest of its recent glorious past.”
