Wydad Casablanca coach Rulani Mokwena has agreed to subject French player Mickaël Malsa, former Martinique international, to a trial before making a final decision regarding his recruitment.
Malsa plays as a defensive midfielder and suffers from a lack of competitiveness, having not played an official match since March 2024.
Previously, Wydad had given South African striker Lebo Mothiba a trial, but the club’s technical staff were not convinced, especially after playing only a few matches last season. The club therefore decided to follow the same approach with Malsa.
-The player has played for several clubs in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece and Spain, notably Albacete, Levante and Real Valladolid.
Wydad recently recruited right back Fahd Moufi and continues its search for a top striker and a goalkeeper in order to correct some mistakes made during the summer transfer window.
