Enzo Sternal has just turned the page on OM. The former prospect of the training center has just officially committed to Anderlecht for a two and a half year contract, until 2027. He successfully passed the medical examination prior to his commitment. Arriving in Provence in the summer of 2022 from Nancy, turning pro last summer, Sternal (17 years old) did not have enough consideration, in his eyes, and preferred to ask for a change of scenery.
OM did not oppose it, but took care to protect its backs by including in the deal a buyout priority if Sternal ever explodes in Belgium, as well as a percentage on a future transfer, which is subject to change. Roberto De Zerbi had liked the player during the summer preparation, appreciating the seriousness he put into each of his sessions. The Italian technician launched it in the three games of the season, in Brest, as well as in Montpellier for 22 minutes of playing time in total. But Sternal did not have the necessary patience, preferring to respond to requests from Anderlecht who were already courting him in the summer of 2024. He will join the reserve team which plays in the Belgian Second Division and is fighting for its maintenance.
