Haute-. End of “very cold” vigilance for the department, but the remains on alert until Thursday

It's cold, very cold even for a few days. So much so that the departments of and Haute-Loire were placed on yellow “very cold” alert on Sunday by Météo .

If a mild spell is announced for this Wednesday, January 15, the services of the Loire prefecture have decided to maintain vigilance. Which is no longer the case in Haute-Loire where the alert has been lifted since Tuesday.

And yet, in the morning this Tuesday, the temperatures remained more than cool. The Météociel.fr site recorded -10°C near Yssingeaux, -11°C at the Puy-Loudes station and -9C in Saint-Étienne.

A slight mild spell announced

In the department, Météo France forecasts announce a slight mild spell. In the morning we are forecasting -5°C in Puy-en-Velay, -1°C in Yssingeaux and -2°C in Monistrol-sur-Loire. Not enough to maintain vigilance, according to the prefecture services.

Up to -11°C at altitude

The Loire prefecture, for its part, indicates that the yellow “Extreme Cold” vigilance has been extended until Thursday with temperatures in the morning between -7°C and -9°C in the plains and up to -11° C at altitude. During the day, they could rise up to +2°C. »
