the general classification after the 9th stage, change at the head of the race

This 9th stage of the Dakar is synonymous with a change at the front of the race. Henk Lategan relinquished the lead to Yazeed Al Rajhi. Nasser Al-Attiyah is on the verge of the podium before starting the last part of the rally-raid.

If Nasser Al-Attiyah and his co-pilot Édouard Boulanger won the 9th stage this Tuesday linking Riyadh to Haradh, it is not enough to get on the podium. At least not for now. Before the start of the 10th stage on Wednesday, the Dacia crew is 25 minutes behind Yazeed Al Rajhi. The latter is the new leader of the Dakar 2025 in the car category. He took control this Tuesday for the benefit of the Toyota Gazoo Racing duo Lategan – Cummings. The latter conceding 13 minutes to the new leader and 16 minutes to Nasser Al-Attiyah.
