Six months then gone: a disgruntled summer recruit will already leave the Jupiler Pro League – The latest transfers

Zalan Vancsa, on loan to Ghent from Lommel, was unable to continue. He should already leave the Buffalos this winter.

Zalan Vancsa would like to accumulate more playing time elsewhere, but a return to Lommel is not on the agenda at the moment, according to The Newspaper. The Limburgers paid 3 million for him at MTK Budapest in January 2022, but his market value has since fallen to a million.

Loaned this season to La Gantoise, where we strongly believed in his potential, Vancsa only played two games in the Jupiler Pro League this season, the fault of injuries, but not only that. A departure is planned, and Ghent have already considered profiles to replace the Hungarian international.

In addition to Vancsa’s situation, La Gantoise’s priority is currently to recruit a new striker. The club wants a replacement for Gudjohnsen and Max Dean, and has set its sights on Rwan Cruz, a 23-year-old Brazilian playing for Ludogorets.

However, the transfer of Cruz turns out to be a complicated matter. The Bulgarian champion is not keen on letting his striker leave in January and would prefer to delay the sale until the summer. In addition, Ludogorets is apparently asking for a significant sum.

However, La Gantoise remains active on the transfer market. It is clear that the club wants to quickly resolve both the Vancsa situation and the search for a new top striker to be able to aim for the top 6 without stress this season.
