Nine young table tennis players from the Cercle pongiste auscitain (CPA) took part last weekend in a Ligue Occitanie detection tournament, in Toulouse.
The second phase of the season has started for the CPA. This Saturday the Occitanie League detection tournament took place in Toulouse, open to under 10s. CP Auch was represented by nine participants. The day began with a “giant climb” where the young Auscitains had the opportunity to play numerous matches, mixed in all categories. A great opportunity for them to gain experience, face various opponents and measure themselves at different levels of play.

In the afternoon, time for tables by age categories. The young people showed themselves to be combative and determined, winning several matches. Axel Dupont and Noah Dupeyron reached the quarter-finals, a great result promising for the future.
Start of phase two of the championship
A special mention for Simon Zago who was rewarded as the youngest participant in the competition. A great recognition for this young table tennis player with a great future. Brigitte Lecce who took part in the Criterium national handisport in Limoges finished 14th.

All eyes are already on the first day of phase two of the team championship next Saturday, with the reception of Passage d’Agen in Nationale 3, and Albi in Prenationale. Nine club teams will play the same day at home.
