For OL coach Pierre Sage, “the training has been less effective since the departure of Tola-Vologe”

Two days before the trip to Bourgoin-Jallieu (N3) in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France, Pierre Sage, the former director of the Lyon team, declared himself very favorable to this project, at a press conference: “Since we left Tola-Vologe in 2016, we have realized that the distance between the pros and the training center was not something very positive. Young people did not have the opportunity to see the pros train, to see possible role models expressing themselves on a daily basis. I missed meeting them in the corridors, in the cafeteria. Having interacted with quite a few players who were trained at Tola-Vologe, it was real added value. In this sense, the fact that the teams are getting closer and even integrating the GOLTC – and it is a project on which we have been working for a little over a year – is something positive. Now we will have to align the project and the actions”.
