The extension of Brondeloire Park is included among the major transformations of Épeule within the framework of the NPNRU. A first phase of work lasting two years will be necessary for its redevelopment and its transformation into a 9-hectare green lung, a project in which the residents were largely involved. Before closing at the end of 2024, a big party was organized on Wednesday December 11.
The project born from discussions with residents
Three discussion workshops organized between February and March 2023 and a feedback meeting in September 2023 highlighted that the inhabitants of Epeule (families, adolescents and children) wanted an extraordinary playground and a skate park in the redevelopment project. from Brondeloire Park. It was therefore natural to involve more than 200 residents in a great festive moment before the Park closes at the end of 2024.
A festive meeting with families
Between the Football freestyler and his invitation to participate in the “one to one” (Football Academy), the acrobats on unicycles and juggling (Racont’art association), the fanfare stroll with New Stompers, the snack and hot chocolate prepared by the young people involved in the social center at the Colisée, the draw of the raffle with 4 places offered by the Colisée for the show Le Comte de Bouderbala and the very active participation of the Nautilus social center in mobilizing families, the party was a huge success.
Organization of sporting activities
During the period of park transformation work, sports activities will be organized in other locations. An information stand at the Coliseum allowed residents to plan ahead from January 2025. The town hall of the western districts and the sports clubs involved are able to take over the information relay.

Gardeners’ plots relocated
To limit the impact of the closure of the Park, an alternative solution was offered to gardeners who had their plot there. Following the meeting on September 10, pairs were created to temporarily cultivate plots at the Jardin de l’Ouest (rue de l’Ouest), in conjunction with the management association La Maison du Jardin.
