A Clasico that kept all its promises! Just two months after inflicting a correction on Real Madrid (4-0) at the Santiago Bernabéu, FC Barcelona once again outclassed its Madrid rival in a spectacular match. The Merengue, although driven by a desire for revenge, suffered the rule of the Blaugrana in a meeting rich in twists and turns.
However, Real Madrid got off to an ideal start thanks to Kylian Mbappé, who opened the scoring in the 5th minute. An early goal which gave hope for a good evening for Carlo Ancelotti’s men. But this advance was short-lived. In the 22nd minute, Lamine Yamal equalized after a masterful collective action.
The rest of the first period was a nightmare for the White House. Robert Lewandowski restored Barça’s lead with a penalty in the 36th minute, followed by a third goal from Raphinha three minutes later. Just before the break, Alejandro Baldé exploited a Madrid defensive error to score a fourth goal in added time (45th + 10′).
At the start of the second half, Raphinha added to the tally with a double (48th). Reduced to ten after the expulsion of Wojciech Szczęsny (56th), the Catalans conceded a direct free kick converted by Rodrygo (60th), saving the honor of the Merengue.
A total demonstration for Barça, which confirms its domination over its eternal rival this season.
