The Ravens, who will now cross swords with the Buffalo Bills or the Houston Texans, led 21-0 at halftime against their rivals from the North American section. They led 19-2 in first downs in the first half, including offensive runs of 95, 85 and 90 yards.
Henry ran for 186 of the Ravens’ 299 rushing yards. The Steelers have never allowed so much ground through the run in a playoff game.
A two-time NFL Most Valuable Player, Jackson is still looking for a playoff breakthrough. He quickly showed that he was going to force the Steelers (10-8) to defend as much against his arm as against his legs.
He racked up first downs and the Ravens (13-5) moved the ball methodically against an opponent that has often relied on its ability to force turnovers this season.
Jackson finished the game with 16 completions on 21 attempts for 175 yards. He ran for another 81 yards.
-The Steelers have therefore lost their last five games this season, including two against the Ravens. They have also suffered defeat in their last six playoff games.
George Pickens and Van Jefferson caught passes from Russell Wilson, who completed 20 of 29 passes for 270 yards.
Texans beat Chargers
Justin Herbert had a first game with four interceptions and the Houston Texans took advantage of it to beat the Los Angeles Chargers 32-12 on Saturday in Houston. Eric Murray returned one of the interceptions to the end zone, racing for 38 yards. The Chargers quarterback had only three interceptions during the entire regular season. CJ Stroud had a touchdown pass late in the first half en route to 282 air yards. Houston, however, had fumbled the ball at the start of the game and the club lost 6-0 after one quarter, following precision kicks. The Texans advance to the second round for the second year in a row.
