CThis meeting, held under the chairmanship of the President of the FRMF, Fouzi Lekjaa, was devoted to various issues on the agenda, including the preparation of the next general assemblies (AG) of the Federation and the National Football Leagues, indicates a press release from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
Lekjaa presented, on this occasion, the program of football competitions and activities planned in Morocco from 2025 to 2030, starting with the draw for the African Cup of Nations, which will be held on Monday January 27, 2025 in Rabat.
The president of the FRMF stressed that the world will have its eyes on the Kingdom over the next five years as it will organize several major continental and world competitions, including the African Cup of Nations at the end of this year and the World Cup. FIFA world in 2030, alongside Spain and Portugal.
Lekjaa called on all stakeholders in Moroccan football and civil society to mobilize and redouble their efforts to ensure the success of these events, the fruit of the vision of King Mohammed VI.
He also recalled the agreement signed between the Moroccan government and FIFA, aimed at establishing a FIFA regional office in Africa in Morocco.
Lekjaa took the opportunity to congratulate the technical, medical and administrative staff as well as the players of the U20 and U17 national teams for their qualification for the final stages of the African Cup of Nations categories.
-With a view to submitting several amendments to the regulations to the FRMF General Assembly for approval, the steering committee meeting was also an opportunity to recall the modifications discussed and validated during the steering committee meeting of 1is August 2024.
These modifications concern the National Dispute Resolution Chamber (CNRL), the Disciplinary Code, the Competition Regulations, as well as the Affiliation Regulations.
The president of the National Professional Football League, Abdeslam Belkchour, for his part proposed improving security conditions in stadiums by making clubs responsible in the event of acts of violence by their supporters. These clubs could be sanctioned by the competent jurisdictional authorities.
