Laurent Nunez, the Prefect notably justifies this decision to limit the sector reserved for visitors to 1000 supporters as follows: “Considering that a football match will be held on Sunday January 12, 2025 at 8:45 p.m. on behalf of the 17th day of the Ligue 1 football championship at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris 16th, which will pit the teams of Paris Saint-Germain against each other ( PSG) and Saint-Étienne (ASSE) that on this occasion, a large number of supporters will be present around and inside the Parc des Princes; 1000 Saint-Etienne supporters including 200 ultras classified as at risk, members of the Magic Fans and Green Angels groups, should be present in the visitors’ parking lot to attend this meeting, as well as around 1200 Parisian ultras supporters, members of the Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP), are expected in the stadium; that the latter are likely to use pyrotechnic and detonating devices in the sports arena.”
The published decree specifically targets Magic Fans and Green Angels who must respect the following conditions to access the stadium:
- Their delivery will be done exclusively by a means of collective transport: vehicle registrations will be communicated to the public order and traffic department by ASSE.
- They must have a ticket or voucher previously purchased from ASSE.
- A mandatory meeting point is set for Sunday January 12, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. on the A6 motorway at the Fleury-en-Bière toll (77), in the Provins-Paris direction.
- They will be escorted by the police from the Fleury-en-Bière toll to the Parc des Princes visitor parking lot following a predetermined route.
Please note that these measures do not concern ASSE supporters residing in the Paris region. They will have to reach the visitor parking lot by their own means. Furthermore, from Sunday January 12, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. until Monday January 13, 2024 at 1:00 a.m., it is prohibited for any person claiming to be a supporter of the ASSE team or behaving as such, exception of the 1000 authorized in the visitor parking lot, to access the Parc des Princes and to travel or park on public roads in the territory of the city of Paris and the commune of Boulogne-Billancourt within the perimeter delimited according to the map below.
As a reminder, according to our information, around 850 Greens supporters will be present on Saturday evening in the Paris Saint-Germain den to encourage ASSE.
