Richomme slightly narrows the gap with Dalin

The small gap created in recent days by Charlie Dalin, the leader of the Vendée Globe, over Yoann Richomme has stabilized below 200 nautical miles.

Yoann Richomme (Paprec Arkéa), at the 7:00 a.m. check-in this Thursday, slightly reduced the distance that separates him from leader Charlie Dalin since the gap, which was more than 198 miles on Wednesday evening, was reduced to 184 miles.

The duo, who are going back a good distance from the African coast, remain in a zone of relatively weak winds but they do not lose ground on the third, Sébastien Simon, who is more than 750 miles away.

The battle for 4th place remains intense: it is now occupied by Sam Goodchild, whose West option seems to be paying off. But the Briton is less than 10 miles ahead of Jérémie Beyou, and less than 30 over the German Boris Herrmann.
