Azzedine Ounahi expressed his satisfaction after contributing to the victory of his team, Panathinaikos, against PAOK Salonika (2-1) during the 17th day of the Greek championship, thus returning to his role as substitute.
Coming into play in the 72nd minute when the score was 1-1, Ounahi scored the winning goal in the last seconds, in the 90th minute, giving his team three precious points.
This goal is the first of the season for the player of the Moroccan selection in the Greek championship, and his second with Panathinaikos, after a previous goal scored in the Greek Cup. His club also awarded him the prize for best player of the match.
In statements to the press after the meeting, the Atlas Lion said: “I’m here to help the team in the best way possible. If the coach thinks it’s better for me to start on the bench, I respect his decision,” before adding:
-“The most important thing is that I was able to help the team today, and that gives me great joy. We have taken another step towards the title. I think we didn’t start the match well, conceding a goal in the second minute, but we reacted well and played in a remarkable way« .
