Lierse has been looking for a coach since the departure of Chistophe Grégoire. Several avenues have already been ruled out.
A little over a week ago, the collaboration between Christophe Grégoire and the Lierse interrupted quite unexpectedly. The team remained on two victories, with management speaking of a “difference of vision”.
This weekend, it was the remaining assistants who took charge of the team, successfully as Lier won 1-0 against Lommel. But the club is still actively looking for a new T1.
Keep the good dynamic
Management is seeking to announce Grégoire's successor as quickly as possible. According to the Gazet van Antwerpen, the research is quite advanced and several names have been removed from the list. Including that ofHernan Losada.
The Argentine coach will therefore not succeed his former teammate, whom he knew as a player at Charleroi. Still as a player, Losada played for a year and a half at Lierse, the penultimate club of his career. He will therefore have to find another bench after the end of the Deinze episode.
Another name discarded, that of Wim De Decker : the former assistant to Laszlo Bölöni at Antwerp and La Gantoise has been without a club since his departure from Beveren last April. Lierse (which still has a certain Obbi Oulare in its core) is currently sixth in D1B.
