Moroccan startups from Accelab’s Stadium by MDJS program shine – Morocco Today

The startups Ai, Matchango, MySteps, WellPass and Tiki Data, selected as part of Accelab's Stadium by MDJS program, represented Morocco during “Sports Tech Nation 2024”, which took place recently in Munich.

Startups supported by MDJS shine at the international “Sports Tech Nation 2024” Summit in Munich. Indeed, the startups Tennis Ai, Matchango, MySteps, WellPass and Tiki Data, selected as part of Accelab's Stadium by MDJS program, represented Morocco during the international Sports Tech Nation 2024 event, which took place in December 2024 in Munich.
Coming from the Moroccan sports and technology ecosystem, these startups were highlighted for their innovations and their potential to transform the sector. As indicated in a press release from the MDJS, “thanks to the support of the Stadium by MDJS program, they benefited from support in key areas such as strategy, marketing, and commercial development, allowing them to position themselves as essential players. Several sportech innovations were highlighted during this innovation, each providing unique solutions to revolutionize the sporting experience and well-being. Thus, Tennis AI presented a performance analysis solution based on artificial intelligence, designed to enable tennis players and coaches to optimize their progress. Matchango has unveiled an intuitive platform making it easier to organize sporting events between enthusiasts.
For its part, MySteps captivated visitors with an innovative application that encourages an active lifestyle through a motivating rewards system. Concerning WellPass, it made its mark by offering a service allowing companies to offer their employees simplified and unlimited access to a wide choice of gyms and well-being activities via a single subscription. Finally, Tiki Data, a pioneer in the application of data science to football, presented its forward-thinking approach of using advanced data science techniques to provide accurate performance analytics, thereby enabling innovative sports strategies for the teams.
“Thanks to Accelab, we were able to participate in Sports Tech Nation 2024, which allowed us to meet the leaders of the biggest European clubs, explore great opportunities and share enriching discussions with industry experts” , says Idris Houir Alami, co-founder of the startup Tiki Data.
According to the same press release, their participation offered them international visibility and the opportunity to establish links with investors and strategic partners in the sector. This event also made it possible to highlight the dynamism and creativity of the Moroccan entrepreneurial ecosystem, demonstrating its potential to actively contribute to global innovation in sportech. For his part Abdessamad Lahmami, Program Manager of Stadium by MDJS, explains: “We have worked hard with our German partners to make this initiative a success. It is indeed essential for us to place Moroccan sporttech on the international scene.
