Marc Denis will not analyze the Canadian's next matches

The Montreal Canadiens are on leave for the next few days. The club will play its next match on Saturday.

But Marc Denis, on RDS, told us that his holiday break was going to be a little longer than that. After all, he won't be there in the first games back from the break.

After yesterday's match in Columbus, he and Pierre Houde announced that the former goalkeeper was going to take three games off, namely the two games in Florida (December 28 and 29) and the duel against Vegas on December 31. He will be back for the January 3 game in Chicago.

Saturday's match will be on RDS since it will be broadcast at 1 p.m. and not in the evening.

Denis simply decided, according to what was announced, to take a few days off to spend time with family during the holidays. With his years of experience, he can more easily afford it.

Bruno Gervais will take his place. The Rocket match analyst at RDS will therefore assist Pierre Houde during the three matches where Denis will be at home with his family.

He will therefore be in Vegas on December 31. There are worse things, I think.

Note that it is in moments like this that we see the intentions of a station. If Gervais was chosen to replace him, it is undoubtedly because he is held in high esteem.

He will inevitably have big shoes to fill since Denis does an excellent job as an analyst of CH matches on RDS.

Let's remember that yesterday, Marc Denis had a big evening because in addition to analyzing the match, he was at the heart of two stories that caused quite a stir involving Patrik Laine.

It was he who revealed that the Blue Jackets had chosen to no longer pay tribute to the Finn and it was he who conducted the interview with Mathieu Olivier during the first intermission – and who therefore asked the question about the comments of Wool.

– Speaking of Vegas.

– Oh yes?

– No. CH is 14th in the East.
