Morocco finishes second in the MENA Nations Cup

The competition, organized under the aegis of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and which is in its fifth edition, saw the participation of 16 countries and more than 160 drivers.

The Moroccans distinguished themselves during the five days of events by reaching the podium four times.

The results:

In endurance, the pair Othmane Benhayoun and Reda Benaidy allowed Morocco to win first place, ahead of the United Arab Emirates and Algeria.

In the SENIOR MAX category, Anis Tazi stood out by winning second place.

Al Mahdi Kadiri also made a strong impression by finishing third in the SPRINT category.

Another highlight was Nahyl El Gahoudy’s exceptional performance in MICRO MAX. Starting in last position, the young Moroccan made a spectacular comeback to finish third.

In the general ranking, Morocco finished second, just 7 points behind Lebanon and ahead of the United Arab Emirates.

A promising success:

Morocco, which finished on the MENA podium for the third time in five editions, confirmed its status among the best selections in the region.

The Royal Moroccan Motor Sports Federation (FRMSA) hopes that this new success will motivate motor sports enthusiasts in Morocco to integrate the practice of this discipline.

The federal body organizes annually the national karting championship and in particular the 4-stroke event, in order to allow this discipline to be opened up to as many people as possible.
