Less than a week after the ouster of Olivier Dall'Oglio, AS Saint-Etienne announced this Friday the appointment of Eirik Horneland as coach of the Greens' professional squad. The 49-year-old Norwegian technician signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with a term of June 30, 2027.
Eirik Horneland at ASSE until 2027
Little known in France, Eirik Horneland will sharpen his weapons for the first time away from Scandinavian football. With ASSE, he will have the opportunity to expand his CV, particularly in the line of recruits signed during his career. And this, as soon as January arrives, on the winter transfer market in Ligue 1. So far, Horneland is playing modestly. Because having only managed Norwegian clubs, he never had significant resources in the clubs he attended to strengthen himself.
