Launched in celebration of World Basketball Day, this initiative offers an innovative program combining sports practice, educational workshops and personalized support. The objective is to offer young people a structuring framework which will allow them to develop essential skills for their future, both personally and professionally.
Speaking on this occasion, the founding president of TIBU Africa, Mohamed Amine Zariat, affirmed that “This project reflects our ambition to make sport a lever for social transformation”.
“Thanks to the support of the INDH and the involvement of inspiring figures like Sam Vincent, former NBA player, we offer the young people of Lahraouine a space where they can dream big, develop their potential and build a brilliant future,” said he indicated.
For his part, Sam Vincent noted that “Basketball is more than a sport. He taught me discipline, perseverance and teamwork, values that helped me succeed on and off the field.”
And added: “This initiative represents an exceptional opportunity for the young people of Lahraouine to discover these transformative teachings.”
This program, part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), plans, according to its initiators, to reach hundreds of young people each year and is based on three strategic axes: adopting a healthy and active lifestyle, succeeding academically thanks to personalized support, and develop social skills through collective activities promoting team spirit and communication.
