First match for Yves Vanderhaeghe since his return to the Kortrijk bench. He has already gone through all the emotions.

For the last match this Saturday, Beerschot and Kortrijk shared the stakes. As is often the case in this type of match, both teams had the opportunity to win. Kiel was treated to two completely different halves. During the first act, Beerschot took the initiative but Kortrijk remained faithful to Yves Vanderhaeghe's set-up to return to the locker room holding on. A goal was needed to definitively start the match, it fell for the Courtraisians five minutes after the restart through Abdoulaye Sissako. With his back to the wall and no real room for error against a direct competitor for maintenance, Beerschot threw all his weapons into the battle. Dirk Kuyt's men managed to completely reverse the situation around the hour mark, with two goals from Antoine Colassin and Thibaud Verlinden. But while Kiel was making more and more noise to carry their team to victory, Kortrijk found the resources to equalize via their scorer Nacho Ferri in the last ten minutes (2-2). Enough to give the spectators present a suspenseful end to the match, with the two teams still touching the bar in the moneytime. Kortrijk undoubtedly leaves the meeting more satisfied: KV returns to Saint-Trond and leaves its opponent of the evening six points behind.
