At Les Vernets, the Grenat were beaten 3-2 by the Zurich Lions in a match that will be the semi-final of the Champions League next month. Outclassed during the first half hour, they came back to 2-2 thanks to two successes from Alessio Bertaggia and Oula Palve scored in the space of 26'.

But Theodor Lennström's five-minute penalty for a bad move on Denis Malgin was to be fatal for them. Master in the exercise of the power play, the Swiss champion had to regain control thanks to Derek Grant's 13th goal to once again occupy the leading position.

Success for Lausanne

For its part, Lausanne is once again riding the wave of success. Two days after their 5-0 victory in front of Ambri-Piotta, the Vaudois won 3-1 in Davos in the clash at the top of the evening.

Once again perfectly protected by Kevin Pasche (25 saves), the LHC was able to respond to Adam Tambellini's opening score in the 37th minute. Joël Genazzi could equalize before the end of the middle third and Benjamin Bougro scored the decisive goal in the 44th minute. This success allows the Vaudois to consolidate their third place and hope to very quickly take second place occupied by their evening opponents.

Not the evening hoped for for Julien Sprunger

The evening was less rosy for Julien Sprunger, who did not celebrate the renewal of his contract as he wanted. The captain of Gottéron experienced defeat a few hours after the happy news was made official. On their ice, the Friborgs lost 2-0 to Kloten. The surprise championship team took the lead in the 44th minute thanks to Nico Ojamäki before Dario Meyer sealed the score in the empty cage 19' from the siren. Author of 37 saves, Sandro Zurkirchen advantageously replaced the holder Ludovic Waeber in the Zurich goals.

Biel falls from above

In Porrentruy where Ajoie is increasingly formidable at home, Bienne has fallen from a height. The Zealanders, in fact, led 2-0 until mid-match to finally lose this derby 5-2. Now beaten eight times in their last ten matches, the Zealanders will not really have the right to make mistakes on Saturday against Davos and Monday against Berne. Two must-win home matches.

Finally, the hero of the evening is from Neuchâtel. Roman Loeffel, in fact, gave Berne a 5-4 victory in the derby against Langnau with his goal 5'' from the final siren. Three points which further consolidate the position of the capital club in the top 6.
