Since then, the 53-year-old has been without a club, and it is far from certain that he will find a position as head coach. Before his adventure in Kortrijk, he had already waited no less than four years to get a coaching job, which will not work in his favor with potential clubs.
De Boeck eyes return to Anderlecht
In an interview given to The NewspaperDe Boeck nevertheless mentions other challenges that interest him. Thus, he openly applied for a return to Anderlecht, where he spent most of his career.

An ambition to work with David Hubert
Today, De Boeck wants to return to a behind-the-scenes role with the Mauves et Blancs. “I have already spoken about it with David Hubert. He was my captain at Mouscron and is doing a good job now. I even went to his wedding. I am convinced that I could be of added value for him,” he said. he declared. “I’m just waiting for the right moment to contact technical director Olivier Renard.”
Anderlecht ready to welcome De Boeck?
However, it remains to be seen whether Anderlecht would be willing to welcome De Boeck as their assistant. The club recently appointed former FA member Jonathan Alves as their new assistant. This could indicate that Hubert's staff is already full.
