Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a sprained right ankle in Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
His case is also uncertain in view of the next match of the reigning Super Bowl champions. They will return to action on Saturday against the Houston Texans.

This was stated by NFL Network journalist Ian Rapoport on Monday, who also specified that Mahomes’ injury would not be a long-term problem.
The center twisted his ankle when he was tackled by two Browns players in the fourth quarter of a 21-7 victory. He then left the field limping and grimacing in pain.
Carson Wentz then came in to relieve Mahomes behind the Chiefs center. The reserve was in position for the last two offensive sequences of the Kansas City club in this match.
This isn’t the first time Mahomes has suffered an ankle injury. In 2019, he injured this joint during the first week of activity. The star player also played the vast majority of the 2023 playoffs with a sprained ankle.
